Krebs to Teach Before Dance Camp Chicago

If there’s an opposite to the after party, we’re having it this week at West Coast Wednesdays (WCW). Come out this week to WCW and get warmed up for Dance Camp Chicago and learn from Chicago’s (formerly Minneapolis’) Soleman Krebs, who be teaching two classes:

• For the beginner class – Body Leads and Following Lightly
  • Leads: Learn to lead with your body and not your arms.
  • Follows: Know what it means to follow and to be “at home”
• For the intermediate class – Let Your Body Speak for You
  • Leads: Whips, Passes, Push Breaks...learn how to use your body to talk to your partner
  • Follows: Learn how to “hear” what your leads body is asking you to do

Learn more about Soleman and watch a clip of him and Tatiana Mollmann at the 2011 Wisconsin Dance Challenge. Then, make plans to join us this week with Soleman teaching the lessons, great music spun by house DJ April Prince (spinning current west coast swing favorites with a few new songs from 8:30 until 11 p.m.), and lots of dancing with your friends in the West Coast Swing community.

The Basics

Lessons each week cost:

• $5 for the beginner lesson starting at approximately 7:00 p.m.
• $5 for the intermediate lesson starting at approximately 7:45 p.m.
• Please note: The cost of the lessons is separate from the $5 cover charge for the evening.
